Wifi Set up for PSP
okay I know I can take the time to look this up but I just got a psp and I know nothing about them and I sorta feel lazy about looking up wifi connection on my psp since I probably wont ever use it but it would be cool to bring my psp around to go online with it so I was wondering if anyone knew the simple basics of setting up a PSP 3000.
I should look it up myself but I just want to know the quick way lol

RE: Wifi Set up for PSP
well, you need a router to begin with, or a good area with access points, afaik, can't really take the psp online in a car,unless if you were to sign up with t-mobile, that might work, but other then that,
i'm not sure it can, but only in the house.in which case, you need a good router with wi-fi support,if you allready have that ,you are good to go, i'm not familiar with the 3000 wi-fi settings though,cause i have a 1001 model still XD

jeebus lol yeah my internet is an epic fail, this router is old as dirt it doesnt even do wifi I should really get a new router.
I guess I will mess with it when I go somewhere with a good connection.
1001 model is hackable! mine isn't though because the upgrade is too high ;.;

Agreed. Get a new router. You'll save yourself a lot of WiFi hours doing that. Tongue

Btw, which model do you have?

I'm an original gamer. My wristband says so.

Or, you could do what I do. I have a Wifi adapter, and I hook it up to a computer with hardwired internet, and put it in access point mode.

That is one way to do, but depends on the hardware of the PC you want to put it in (unless you go USB mode, which also works quite well). I do the same, but I network bridge my WiFi with my Ethernet LAN to my switch in my room so I can hook up other storage PC's to the network, if I can, aiming to get a server PC.
